Our rain policy is built on experience, environmental responsibility, and a commitment to getting your lawn the care it deserves, even on Alberta’s wildest weather days.

Rain and Lawn Care: Doing Right by Your Lawn (and the Environment)

First things first: we never apply liquid treatments or fertilizers during active rainstorms. Heavy rain can wash away products before they’re absorbed, reducing their effectiveness and risking unwanted runoff into drains and natural spaces. It’s not just about protecting your lawn—it’s about doing what’s right for our neighbourhood and ecosystem.

How We Decide: Forecasts and Flexibility

Ahead of every visit, our team monitors the weather closely. If the forecast calls for rain that’s above our threshold for safe and effective application, we’ll move your visit to the next available slot—no rescheduling hassles for you. If the rain is predicted to be light or passing, we may proceed with your visit, keeping a careful eye on possible “rain delays” throughout the day.

Whenever we apply, our priority is to ensure treatments are down in time to dry and begin absorbing before any expected rain arrives. Sometimes, that means adjusting our routes or start times to strategically get ahead of a looming cloudbank. 

When Rain Surprises Everyone

Weather can be unpredictable (Edmonton, we’re looking at you!). If a surprise shower rolls in right before your scheduled service, we’ll simply move your visit to a dryer day—no further action needed on your end. 

If a sudden rain arrives just after your application, don’t worry. We automatically follow up and schedule a service call if needed. Our team will assess your property to ensure the treatment was effective. If not, we’ll reapply at our next opportunity—at no extra cost to you.
